WELCOME TO ICORET 2006
The 1st International Conference on Religious Tourism 2006 was a joint initiative of the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and the UN World Tourism Organization in a first international effort to bring together the stakeholders of the specific industry. The Conference provided the opportunity to organizations involved in Religious Tourism, as well as to newcomers to the field to obtain insight and know-how on Religious Tourism issues, practices and trends. It was also an excellent networking opportunity for the Religious Tourism industry.
ICORET 2006 was organized in Nicosia, Cyprus 19-21 October 2006 and included an intensive, information-filled programme to be delivered by experts in the field of Religious Tourism and technical visits to religious sites in Cyprus.
